The Reverend Art McDonald returned to UUSR’s pulpit after last week’s highly amusing yet inciteful sermon. Today’s message was built around the “soul of a nation”, what is a soul? Do we atone for misdeeds? Do we distinguish between better angels and dark angels? Again, this was a riveting and absorbing talk, featuring Art’s often used anecdotes from his own lived experience. eg. in the Army at the end of the Vietnam War.

Brendan Evan’s beautiful classical guitar pieces were the perfect interludes to absorb and process the themes of this service. And condolences must be offered to Brendan in the passing of his father, Timothy Evans, 3 days before service. And praises for his professionalism in being part of today’s service.
