Daring Democracy Series
Born out of our goal to involve the greater Cape Ann community in important justice issues and concerns. The Social Justice Committee is continuing to work to sponsor events that dare us to continue to work on issues of protecting the democracy and other social justice issues. 2018
Three films and three nationally known speakers with a closing discussion facilitated by the League of Women Votes, happened in 2018. One event monthly leading up to the mid-term elections. This was a very successful endeavor. Films drew approximately 40 participants and speakers Francis Lappe, Chuck Collins, Michael Wheeler, Jeff Jacoby and Joan Vennochi drew nearly 100 participants at each event.
